The title “Recioto, The Golden Bubbles of Easter” was chosen by the Londoner online magazine “Glass of Bubbly”, which, thanks to Stefania Ruffo, dedicated an entire article to our Recioto di Gambellara Spumante.
The article begins describing the particular morphologic structure that is typical the territories of Gambellara DOC wine, where the 45 million years old basalt rocks, produced with the rapid cooling of basaltic lava, are the protagonists; a unique territory rich in minerals that makes it ideal for vine growing. This land among its treasures also offers “a liquid jewel precious like gold”: Recioto di Gambellara wine.
It is a sweet wine produced by the native Gambellara grape, with a unique taste, very appreciated in the Spumante version, where all its bubbles with tropical fruits notes, leave on the palate a persistent final of bitter almond. A delicious wine, both alone and matched with sweet creams and dry biscuits. The advice of the online magazine? Try a glass of Recioto di Gambellara Spumante of Gambellara Winery, matched with a corn dessert with Garganega grapes mustard and ice cream, according to the receipt of Elio Bertoldo, Executive Chef of Hotel Ristorante Fracanzana.
