Easy excursion, also in the wood with panoramic views. It is characterized by volcanic basaltic rocks, the “sasso moro” (black rock), used for the building of houses, lot of them entirely conserved.
Length: about 6 km – Time/Duration: about 2 hours – Departure and Arrival : piazzetta di Ponte Cocco (former elementary schools- pizzeria).
Description of the itinerary: after a steep start in a paved street, you come up gradually the hill slope in two types of streets. The itinerary goes across wood with water and open plots, arriving to “forra dell’Omo Morto”, a deep gorge where you can find the street that leads to the church of San Marcello. From here, through the wood and after a brief break at the well conserved “Rustico Biasolo”, you can reach again the main path that connect to the departure.

Panoramic but also ascent itinerary. It’s possible to go to the equipped itinerary “Antonio Ponato”.
Length: about 5 km – Time/Duration: about 2 hours – Departure: Piazza Italia, Montebello (VI) – Arrival: Agugliara, frazione of Montebello (VI).
Description of the itinerary : from the car park where there’s the monument in street IV Novembre, you have to go on to street Gen. Vaccari and finally to Piazza Italia, where the marked itinerary starts. You have to follow Via Castello, back to the town hall and go on upward until you cross Via San Francesco. You have to turn to the right and go on upward. On the right you’ll meet firstly Villa Miari and the, on the top of the hill, the castle of Maltraverso which dominates the village. Arriving at the crossroads, take the right to Cà del Lupo in a light rise and fall. Go beyond the crossing in Via Perosa and go downwards in Via Boccara where you will leave the paved street and follow another well marked path. You will pass through the vineyards in Contrà Dal Maso and Contrà Bertola. You go ahead in a paved street up to the car park of the cemetery, at the feet of the hill and from here take the path that goes upwards in the wood. Pass three hairpin turns you will arrive to a break area through green olive trees.
You go after following the path, leaving the wood to reach Contrà Guarda from which, going in the direction of the church, you will find the little city-centre of Agugliana.
